Description

Abstract:  In the work methods of obtaining silicate coatings are considered and a new technology of formation of protective coatings on steels in the conditions of combustion, which takes place during self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, is presented. Using the methods of mathematical modeling, in the preparation of corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant coatings on machine parts in conditions of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, optimum compositions of SHS charge materials have been developed. The protective layer has phases: Fe3Al and α-phase (Fe3Si). With increasing carbon content in the substrate, the thickness of the layer decreases. Investigation of the corrosion resistance and heat resistance was carried out on steels 20, 45 and U8A, doped with titanium, chromium, aluminum, boron and tungsten. Increased corrosion and heat resistance in 2-3 times.
