Description
1st Paragraph: Aluminum is a reactive metal with a reduction potential well over that required to split water. This large reduction potential has prevented the broad adoption of aluminum-based, electroplated coatings. LumiShield has developed a ligation approach to lower the reduction potential of aluminum, allowing it to be electroplated from aqueous solutions. Aluminum is low in toxicity, lightweight, abundant, and provides excellent resistance to corrosion due to the formation of aluminum oxide.
