Abstract: In this paper, a structure optimization model of copper cooling stave was established based on ANSYS. With this model, the temperature distribution field and stress distribution of the copper cooling staves with different structure was calculated. The heat transfer effect of each cooling stave with certain structure was analyzed and the influence rule of each structure parameter was observed, then the structure of the cooling stave was optimized automatically by ANSYS. The optimizing result shows that the newly designed cooling stave has better heat transfer effect and the ANSYS optimizer works well on structure optimization of copper cooling stave.
